First-year students of the three-year Fashion Design course at Raffles Milano learned the moulage technique in their Pattern Making 1 classes, using linings donated by Brunello 1927.
Moulage means draping fabric directly on the mannequin. With no reference sketches, students let the fabric and their own style guide them and worked like couturiers. They turned the recovered Brunello linings into garments that are entirely hand-sewn.
